Guardians of Traditions has been participating in the LEAP program for 8th grade students in the Worcester Schools. We connect cultures through their carnival traditions, showing the students the intersectionality and how communities thrive when we retain our cultural identity.
This session included a participation of our friends Crocodile River Music with African music, Monano Art with bucket drumming, Worcester’s own Worcester Youth Poet Laureate, Jayson Adael, Alex Nagorski, and our friend Freddy representing Dominican carnival.
