Dominican Carnival

A curated presentation and exhibit centered around the colorful characters of the oldest carnival of the Americas.

Opening Reception Programming

• Children Art-Making Activity (1:30-2:30 PM)
• Panel on the History of Dominican Carnival (3-4 PM): “Evolution and Influences” with speakers Alfredo Potter, Leonardo Nin, and Vanessa Joga
• Performance with Carnival Characters (4:30-5 PM)
• Opening Reception (5-6 PM): Appetizers and signature cocktails inspired by the exhibit and provided by Chef Melissa Nova

Exhibit

• Featuring 125 photos of Carnaval Dominicano and Troy B. Thompson Photography, the exhibit will be on display at JMAC from February 25th - March 10th.
